Frequently Asked Questions
Your Queries, Clearly Answered
We understand that starting chiropractic care comes with questions. Here you’ll find clear, concise answers to the most common inquiries to help you feel confident and informed about your care journey.
Chiropractic is based on the concept that proper alignment and functioning of the vertebral segments and the nerves associated with them is of fundamental importance for health.
Chiropractic treatment generally consists of correcting those segments of the muscular and skeletal system that do not function properly, especially along the spine and in the pelvic region.
The primary purpose of chiropractic treatment, therefore, is to eliminate symptoms by acting directly on the causes responsible for them, which allows for longer-lasting results and to avoid or reduce the intake of anti-inflammatory and/or pain-relieving drugs, whose side effects are notoriously harmful to our body.
No. Chiropractic technique does not consist of massaging the body or the painful area. Although massage is an extremely pleasant practice, it does not eliminate the causes that generate dysfunctions in our body; Chiropractic adjustments correct vertebral subluxations to allow the correct functioning of the nervous system.
Corrections do not always make a noise, but sometimes there is a ‘cracking’ or popping sound associated with them. This is a release of gas, like a bubble of air popping in the fluid sac of a joint, as it moves when being adjusted.
The first visit will last approximately 30 minutes and subsequent visits approximately 15 minutes. We appreciate your time to ensure our visits are always efficient and effective.
The first visit costs €85 (includes examination, evaluation, first treatment and advice). Follow-up visits cost €45.
If you have no pain, great! Our diagnostic tools and initial exam can help us determine whether or not you have subluxations. Many athletes, even if they are pain-free, choose to see a chiropractor to improve their body’s performance. After all, if your car needs regular maintenance, why shouldn’t your body? And as we all know, prevention is better than cure.
It will depend on several factors, including how healthy you were before you started treatment and how long the problem has been present. How proactive you are in your attitude towards your health. How old you are. How healthy you want to be. Your current posture. Your approach to achieving your health goals and, finally, how committed you are to getting better.
